Dear parents,
As of this week, please do not block the bus lane in front of the preschool. This space is for school busses only, and it is an inconvenience for the bus driver to wait for parents to move their vehicles. It is also dangerous to block this lane, as any emergency vehicles which may be called to the school use this lane during school hours. We actually have had to have an ambulance come here several times, and it needs to park in that lane for easy classroom access and student transport.
If finding a parking spot is difficult for you (and I know it can be sometimes, with McDonald’s limited parking spaces), we would be happy to have a staff member wait by the front double doors between 8:25-8:35 to meet you and collect your child. Please let me know if you’re interested in this.
Also, a very important reminder that the Idaho Department of Motor Vehicles strongly recommends that children are not left unattended in cars. Says the DMV: “Leaving a child or pet unattended in a vehicle is dangerous. Not only does it leave them vulnerable to strangers and vehicle malfunctions, but it also leaves them vulnerable to the elements.”
I apologize for any inconvenience this may present to you, and I thank you for your cooperation. Please let me know what I can do to help make drop-off time a smooth process.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
LeAnna M. Ricks
