Colors & Holidays
While last month we explored the book Brown Bear, this month we will have some discussion about Holidays that some families observe, as well as a unit on colors. If your family has a special holiday or traditions you observe and would like to come share with us, please talk to me! We’d love to have you!
ASL
Many students in our class are working on communication goals. We use ASL (American Sign Language) everyday in our lessons and interactions with the children to help supplement the language that they use and aren’t ready to use yet. This year a highschool student is helping in putting on an ASL class for the community. It is free of charge and open to anyone willing to learn. It’s held on Thursdays at the highschool. Call (208) 882-2591 for more info.
Warm Clothes
While some days it’s simply too cold to play outdoors, we’d like to invite you to help your child remember to bring warm play clothes for outside. We’d like to have a chance to play out in the snow, so please remember warm coats, hats, gloves and boots when you can. If you need assistance with finding appropriate winter clothes for your child, please let me know. I’d be happy to help. We have some extra clothes here that can be donated, and there are various resources around town which can help provide clothes to those in need. Please don’t hesitate to talk to me about it.
Winter Break
We have Winter Break this month, and will not have preschool or speech services from Dec 24th to January 7th. Preschool will resume on January 8th. We hope you all have some great family time planned.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us!
As always, if you have questions/comments regarding the program or your child’s plan, please feel free to call us at 882-0228 between 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM. We would appreciate a call from you if your child will be ill or won’t be attending class that day.
